Kaelah's Corner (May 2014):
What's Up, Doc?

Here's some news which I meant to share with you for some time. I've finally received my PhD and you can officially call me Doc Kaelah now! Before anyone asks, no, unfortunately this won't make my life become any less stressful. Quite the contrary, the upcoming months promise to be even harder than the last ones.

But still, I am very proud to have successfully finished this special project of mine. And of course the graduation ceremony with the doctoral cap and academic gown raises some kinky fantasies. The real ceremony wasn't very pompous, just a small party with a few people, featuring my professor and of course Ludwig as well.

That doesn't mean one can't fantasise about more special forms of graduation rituals, though! Actually I can imagine very different scenarios. They all have their own special appeal.

For instance, one would be related to the picture at the top of this post. Imagine the freshly graduated doctor to be given her personal cane to spread the academic virtues of discipline, diligence and truthfulness. I think she would also get a chance to practise with it under the eyes of her professor, caning the PhD students who are still on their way to graduation in order to motivate them to give the best they can.

Of course, one could also imagine a very different scenario, fitting the second picture. At a very old-fashioned university the newly graduated doctor might find herself bent over a chair, her academic gown lifted and pants pulled down for a final caning by her thesis advisor. The final six of the best serving to remind her to wear the academic honours with pride and integrity.

How about you? What are your ideas for a kinky graduation ceremony? Which kind of ritual would have the biggest appeal for you? Please share your scenarios in the comment section.

Congratulations. No small achievement. You deserve a big pat on the back. Or better yet, several pats on the backside, bare of course.
Can you share your area of expertise and or thesis topic?

That is great!! Congratulations. As someone with a doctorate, I know just how much of your life you have to give over to the PhD.

Congratulations on receiving your degree! I know that it takes years of hard work to earn a doctorate.

As for how to celebrate: If it were me, I would definitely choose the scenario from the second picture! :-)

congrats Kaleah! sexy new Doc Kaleah!
I hope too much study does not trascurate gym exercises and sport. I could suggest to Ludwig teach you some gym lesson, fully naked, cabed during exericses he he...

Congratulations, Doctor! That's quite a feat. :-)

@ Gustofur:
Thank you! To answer your question: My area of expertise is economics.

@ Spearthrower:
Thank you very much for your congratulations. You are absolutely right, it is amazing (and a bit shocking) how much time and dedication go into writing a thesis. How many years did your work on your thesis take you?

@ Anonymous:
Thank you very much for your kind words! Which position would you like to be in in the second scenario? Would you be the freshly graduated PhD student, the professor or one of the guests watching the show?

@ Klumarer:
Thank you! I guess I prefer my sport to be vanilla, though, too many bad memories of sports lessons at school... That said, I guess martial arts scenarios with strict trainers are the exception from the rule!

@ Erica:
Thank you very much! :-)

Congratulations. MY father used to say that they can take away your money, your job or your house but they could not touch your education and knowledge.

Congratulations Fr. Doktor, yours is no small achievement.
Goodness knows, there is tons of work to do in the economics fieldd. I am sure that I speak for all of your admirers: we hope that that work, should you decide to engage in it, shall not get you too far distracted from these pages. :-)

@ Bob S:
Thank you! Very wise words indeed.

@ Val:
I guess my workload in the upcoming months will about about as big as it was in the past months. So, I assume that I still won't be in the right mindset for kinky stuff too often, but I hope that it won't become worse, either. Thank you very much for your kind words!

Much too late, but nevertheless sincere congratulations from a fellow scientist.
And - of course - a pat on the elongated part of your back, naturally bare :-))).
