Life has been a bit of a roller-coaster in the recent weeks. Sometimes I was feeling fine, but quite often things didn't go so well. So it was great to share a cheerful time with wonderful friends at a Halloween party. And I found a costume which kind of reflected my current mood. Obviously it also affected my behaviour! You think I deserve to be spanked for the gesture in the top picture? Well – bite me (if you dare)!
Okay, this one is just to show you that I can still be nice as well. Did you go to a Halloween event this year? In which costume? And, what was your kinkiest costume and Halloween experience ever? Last year, I was a vengeance demon. Do you like the whip? I hope you had a happy Halloween, everybody!

I guess I am too old and so not with it, because I don't know what the costume is.
We did not dress up this year. Handed out Hersey's and Reece Cups to the kids.
Thank you for sharing. I wore a Harry Potter costume and carried a plastic cane. Because it was a spanking party, the cane was put to good use.
Missed you, Kaelah! I don't know the costume, either. But I love the sass. Hope you are well. I miss hearing from you.
Very nice costumes in both posts! I went to a Halloween party last weekend as Wonder Woman. I probably would've been much more popular if I was a top. ;-)
awful.
I'm very sorry to say that, but you're looking unbelievable awful with those much too red hair and that contrastless trousers...
there are so many pictures of you on which you look like the woman of my dreams - but theseones, sorry again, seem to be made for my nightmares...
Hope you get not one single stroke for that...
Are you a satanist? What have you celebrated on that day? A feast of the commercialized world or the pagan occult adoration of ghosts? The worst posting on your blog.
By the way the costume is awful (my humble opinion).
Lar
@ Oli, Lar: Are you two trying to get into a competition for who can post the meanest, most destructive comment? Tsk, tsk.
If you don't like certain pictures, there are polite ways of saying that. Statements like "You look awful!" or "Are you a satanist?" are just over the top, rude and uncalled for. So, the next time you feel the need to voice your dislike for a set of pictures, I ask you to do so in a sensitive, gentlemanly way.
This is a free blog. Kaelah and I invest a significant amount of our spare time (of which we don't have plenty) to make all these posts, pictures and videos, not for profit, but because it is something we enjoy doing. If you enjoy what we are doing as well, great. If not, that's too bad, but there are plenty of other spanking sites out there which you might like better. Either way, being a reader of this blog does not entitle you to see only your own personal tastes catered for, nor does it entitle you to complain and criticise with no regards to good manners or the feelings of others.
@ Our Bottoms Burn:
The costume wasn't supposed to represent a special character, it was simply a dark Halloween fantasy version of a punk (punk rock was what I meant when I said that the costume obviously affected my behaviour). Handing out cakes to the kids is nice!
@ joeyred51:
Your reports about your adventures as Harry Potter were cool! So much play in such a short time. :-)
@ Ana:
Thank you for your sweet comment! I will be back soon (I can already see a light at the end of the tunnel). As I already wrote in my reply to Our Bottoms Burn, the costume simply was a dark Halloween fantasy version of a punk.
@ Lea:
I saw your post and the pictures, nice rope-play! :-) I am sure that there are quite a few people who like the idea of spanking Wonder Woman, too, especially one that has your sass. ;-)
@ Oli:
Wow, I didn't expect my Halloween costume to be so successful! My friends just called it sweet and cute, but no one was shocked by it as is the idea of a Halloween costume...
Joking aside, you are of course entitled to your own opinion and preferences, and I am sorry to hear that you didn't like the costume. But I think you should be aware that not all the pictures which I am posting on this blog are meant to trigger sexy fantasies. This is just a post about a fun day with (vanilla) friends involving a Halloween costume complete with a wig and everything which (like Halloween costumes usually are) was meant to be a bit dark and unusual. And all I wanted to do in this post was to let our readers in on an experience which made me happy.
But seriously, nightmares? I mean, there are lots of pictures out there which can cause people nightmares, like the ones of starving children or pictures of war. But a photo showing a fun costume that you don't like? Quite frankly, that strikes me as a bit hysterical (and is equally far fetched as the idea of me being some kind of mythical dream woman).
What really disturbed me was the last sentence of your comment, though. I don't assume that you really thought about what you were saying there. But what your comment implied was basically that, in your opinion, I shouldn't get the things that make me happy or have a good time if I don't fulfil your personal expectations as a reader of this free blog. In my opinion that remark reveals a misguided feeling of entitlement on your behalf, and frankly, I found it quite patronising and rude.
So, you are of course free to voice your opinion here, but I would like to ask you to think twice about the wording the next time you write a comment. Saying that one is sorry doesn't make an insensitive, impolite comment any less hurtful. Taking the time to think about one's words and to find a polite wording does.
@ Lar:
Yes, we had a wonderful time at our satanic party, drinking goat's blood and sacrificing animals...
Seriously, you are aware that your sarcastic tone is completely off the mark, aren't you? If you are a regular reader of this blog, you should know about my stance on ethics and religion, I have written about it more than once. And this post also already tells you that I simply went to a fun costume party in order to share some time with good friends. If you don't like the costume, fine. But you could have said so in a polite manner.
@Kaelah, Ludwig I didn't want to be unpolite. I am sorry. I don't like this feast for two reasons commercialization and occult adoration of ghosts. If you simply went to a party it is for me Ok (weird dress code, but there still exist more awkward ways to dress). The most important is if you had fun.
I think your natural hair is much more attractive than this awful wig. And your costume - OK I admit - I was too hard, certainly there exist dresses that better fit you.
One sentence I don't take back. I really like your blog. And one of the postings must be the worst one. I am sorry, but for me it was this one.
Ps: Is November 31 a public holiday in Germany (Reformation feast)?
Lar
@ Lar:
Thanks a lot for the clarification! This way I understand much more clearly what you are talking about.
For me, it is hard to see this as the worst post on our blog because it is mainly about what you mentioned in your second comment, a good time which I had with some wonderful friends and which meant a lot to me. Like you, I don't like commerce and as a rational humanist I don't believe in ghosts, either. The costume and the pictures were just meant to be unusual, a bit strange and fun. And the post was supposed to be a rather personal one, not so much a sexy one. By the way, I think because of the flash light the wig looks much more extreme in the picture than it did for real.
Still, you are of course entitled not to like the photos and the post. All I meant to say is that I don't think this is such a big deal that it deserves any harsh and hurtful comments. Everyone has a different taste (for example some of my friends found the wig especially cute) and if someone doesn't like one photoset or post then hopefully another one will be more to their liking.
Maybe you can imagine that from my perspective it is quite weird and discouraging if someone who is a total stranger to me suddenly turns up, accuses me of Satanism and tells me that a certain post is the worst one ever and that the costume which I am wearing in the picture shown in said post is awful, too.
So I am very thankful for your second comment and the clarification! I'm glad to know that you like our blog and that you are not a troll who just wants to make me feel bad. I hope to hear from you again in the future. To answer your question: October (not November) the 31st is a holiday in some parts of Germany but it isn't a national holiday.
Heeya, I'm (truly) sorry for hurting you, Kaelah. My post was intended as an ironic one, and, reading the first paragraph of your reply, I've been very glad that you'd understand that intention.
Okay, reading further I had to learn that you missed me totally, and for that, again, sorry-sorry-sorry.
In my world a helloween costume HAS to be awful enough to bring one some "nightmares", and in that way perhaps you can take my post as a kind of compliment?
And even the last Sentence: yes, I really hoped, that you won't get one single stroke. That is because I know about your kink and pleasure and so I bet you would prefer much more than only one single stroke.
I can only repeat my excuse and I'll promise to be much more careful with ironic statements in the future...
Avoiding your gaze, my eyes on the floor... -.-
@ Oli:
Thanks a lot for having cleared that up! Now I am relieved. Sorry for not having understood your intention. It can be hard to distinguish irony from a serious statement in a written comment.
I was a bit confused because I thought that it is okay when a Halloween costume looks a bit strange (and not exactly totally sexy) but you repeated the word “awful” so many times that I finally assumed that your comment must have been serious. I guess that is also because I have had quite a few experiences in the kinky online world where people suddenly became rude in situations when I didn't expect it and for reasons that didn't make any sense to me.
Let's face it, not everyone will always like what I write or like the pictures that I make. And that's of course fine, but I didn't see why someone would focus so much on the things they don't like and not on the things they like, and that made me sad.
So, I am very glad that this case is solved now! By the way, if you want to help me (or Ludwig, I absolutely don't mind not winning in this case ;-) ) to get a few more strokes, you can leave a comment on our Global Day of Delurk post.
Kaelah - Perhaps it's this English language that's at fault ? In spite of the subtleties of its vast vocabulary, the written word can too easily be misunderstood, all for want of facial and tonal expression. The moral must surely be : Commenters Beware !
PS You're still our favourite blogger. Peter
@ Peter8862:
I think it is not only the English language but language in general. If you know another person (or at least their writing style) very well, then it is also possible to know when they are joking and when they are being serious in a written text. But with people one doesn't know so well the facial and tonal expression is certainly missing. I guess that's why emoticons (those little smileys) were invented. I know that some people don't like them, but I like to use them in order to let someone know that I am, for instance, just joking. Careful wording certainly is very helpful as well in order to avoid any misunderstandings.
