Creatures in the Trees

Today is the first day of spring. Isn't that wonderful? Once again nature comes to life. The first flowers are beginning to bloom and the trees are getting new green leaves. And of course the fauna becomes more lively again as well. Just take a closer look and you can see all the animals sitting in the trees:

Birds,

squirrels …

… and, ahem, dachshunds???

Have a wonderful spring time everyone!

  2. WTF! OK, you must have tough skin because the tree bark sure looks rough.

  5. And I thought she was the 'shy, retiring type'....How wrong can one be?

  6. She looks more like a kitty sitting on a tree and chasing birds

  7. Does that mean I have to look up in trees to check if there are some spankos up there? Or is only a German characteristic?

  8. @ Redtail:
    Yep, it is! :-)

    @ Annapurna:
My climbing abilities are about as good as those of the average dachshund... ;-) So, I needed a lot of help in order to get into that tree and it was quite a funny sight! But I'm glad that you like the picture. :-)

    @ Our Bottoms Burn:
You are right, the tree was quite rough, but honestly my skin was my least concern. I'm afraid of heights, so my mind was completely occupied with the thought of not falling down... ;-)

    @ Simon:
Happy spring to you as well!

    @ Indy:
    Thank you! :-)

    @ MasonPearson:
Don't you see the shy look on my face? ;-)

    @ Martin:
Maybe I have some kitty genes as well?! But don't worry, I would never chase any poor birds (I'm much too slow for that, especially in a tree).

    @ Ursus:
I think these special creatures might exist everywhere, Ursus. You can easily find them, though, because they make a very distinctive sound. It's called “bratting”... ;-)
